1. User Interface
Change the setting for selecting object:
File>User Preferences > Input >Select with (Left). The save user setting.
Shortcuts for daily use
Orbiting: Middle Mouse
Panning: Shift +Middle Mouse
Top-view:Numpad 7
Front View: Numpad 1
Side View: Numpad 3
Persp. / Ortho : Numpad 5
Focus / View : Numpad .
Add Object: Shift A
Search: spacebar
Rendering : ALT+A
2. Moving Rotating Scaling
Press shft+a and insert a plane. Press "s" to scale it to fit full grid. Hold shift while scaling movement like shuttle slight movement or when hold with CTRL it movement like increment.
When you add object option related to that appears left side of your screen. Like if you insert Taurus and its related property appears your left side.
Moving Axis
Blue = Z - Axis vertical movement
Green = Y- Axis side to side
Red = X- Axis back and forth
Also, move an object with Press G button and move with your mouse. After that, if you press key of any three axis its move towards that axis.
Also, press G button and hold your mouse wheel button to move towards any axis. The simplest way to move an object.
All the same for rotating by press "R" button instead of G and all for scaling by press "S" button instead of "G".
Add Modifier by pressing rench button on your right. Its allow you to modify the current object. It does not distruct. For smooth surface add "subdivision surface" modifier. It also allow you to change the mesh.
To play animation Press ALT+A
